A Helpful Way to Get Connected
Worship settings provide opportunity to meet and interact with other people, but getting together in smaller groups provides the best way to really develop relationships. It is always the case that it is easier get to know each other in a smaller and more informal setting. The Connect Group Ministry is designed to provide just that kind of environment.
At this point in time, there are three group meeting twice a month. Each meets at a different time on Sunday afternoon or evenings.
Sometimes a group might get togther for a meal. Other times we might watch a video and then talk about it. There are times a group works through a book together, or some might even discuss the morning sermon. The format and topics are flexible, and the goal is for us to get to know each other, and learn how to share life.
This semester (Fall 2019) all the groups, while meeting at different times, will study and discuss the book of Proverbs. We are doing this in concert with Pastor Jordan's sermon series on Proverbs. While we won't necessarily be discussing the same passage as the sermon, we will be staying in the book of Proverbs together. We will be working our way through the book entitled, "Proverbs - A 12-Week Study" by Packer and Orthlund. Contact your small group leader for a copy.
If you are looking to for deeper or more meaningful relationships, and would like to learn more about where and when our Connect Groups meet, even who the leaders are, feel free to contact Pastor Jordan at JDayoub@highlandsstl.org.
