The Lord is my Shepherd : The sufficiency of God’s providence in the life of people who follow God and depend on him
Passage: Psalm 23:1–23:6
In John chapter 11 Jesus says “I am the good shepherd…who lays down his life for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.”
And then in Mathew 18:11 Jesus “…If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? …For the Son of Man has come to save the lost.”Maybe you’re the lost sheep this morning that needs to be found. Maybe you’re wandering in the wilderness hungry, thirsty, and scared—there is a shepherd of our souls, who longs to feed us and give us rest.
Only in Jesus can we say “I lack nothing”—Only, if our lives are hidden in him will “goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives”. Let us Look to Jesus and live!
